What We Do

The Support Services Division encompasses a wide range of functions that are crucial to the overall success of the department. Our key areas of responsibility include:

• ALEAP Accreditation: Ensuring the department meets and maintains the standards set by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Accreditation Program.
• Animal Services: Overseeing the city's animal shelter and animal control operations.
• Building Maintenance: Managing the maintenance and upkeep of police department facilities.
• Cadet Program: Providing young adults with hands-on experience and training in law enforcement.
• Citizen's Police Academy: Offering community members an inside look at the operations and functions of the police department.
• Code Enforcement: Enforcing local codes and ordinances to maintain community standards.
• Community Service Program: Coordinating community service opportunities for residents.
• Court Security: Ensuring the safety and security of the municipal court.
• Crime Analyst: Oversees the Department Crime Analyst 
• Drone Program: Utilizing drones for enhanced surveillance, search and rescue, and other law enforcement activities.
• Grant Coordination and Administration: Securing and managing grants to support department initiatives.
• Holding Facility: Managing the temporary holding facilities for detainees.
• Public Information Office: Oversees the Department Public Information Office
• Records Management: Maintaining accurate and secure records of all police activities, reports, and incidents.
• School Resource Officers: Oversees School Resource Officers
• Technology and Equipment: Overseeing the acquisition, maintenance, and deployment of all technological tools and equipment used by the department.
• Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure our officers are well-prepared and up-to-date with the latest law enforcement practices.
• Warrants: Managing the issuance and processing of warrants.
