Battle of Reed's Bridge Marker

The marker memorializes Confederate troops who fought to hold off Union troops moving toward Little Rock in August of 1863. The Union soldiers were forced to find a new route into Little Rock. This facility has been used for educational tours, weddings, Civil War reenactment, homestead reenactment, bike tours, symposiums, and other events. It is maintained by the Jacksonville Parks Department. For rental call (501) 982-0818.

Fee:

Non-Profit Events - family and class reunions, weddings, fundraisers for (501) C-3 organizations.
 $150 FOR ALL DAY RENTAL

For-Profit Events - events which charge an admission, and the organization is not a Non-Profit.
$300 FOR ALL DAY RENTAL

  • Reed's Bridge closes at 10:00pm unless authorized to extend hours by the Jacksonville Parks Dept. and the Jacksonville Police Dept.
  • Fees include homestead and open field area at Reed's Bridge.
  • User must provide their own set up for events such as tables, chairs and sound equipment.
  • Restroom facilities are not available. 

Rental payment must be paid in full one week in advance of the reserved date.
